My cat has this dark, brownish, hard thing on the edge of one of his nasal passages. I thought it was a build up of mucus or a scab. I lightly scraped it off, but it keeps coming back. What is it? Is it serious? Could it be just a build up of mucus or a scab?

My cat Peach has th same thing, but it has been there since she was a baby. it does not appear to be getting larger, so I have just let it be. Let us know if you find out anything different! KK
It's really impossible for any of us here on the internet to tell you what it is or whether or not it's serious. I would think if it were just a scab and you scaped it off, it would have bled, either that or NOT come back because it was ready to come back, but hard to say.
If you want to know for sure, you may need to take your furbaby to the Vet. Sorry
