Prayer for a cat I didn't know

A random stray cat was found in my neighborhood on Veterans Day, badly injured and in shock after being attacked by dogs.  He was taken by a good samaritan to our local vet clinic.  The community came together and donated more than $800 toward the cost of his care.  He had surgery on Wednesday for peritonitis, but he didn't make it.  He died last night.  I hope he knows how many wonderful people were pulling for him to recover.  Rest in peace, poor sweet kitty with no name.

My heart cries for that poor sweet baby, I want to thank you and everyone involved for trying to save him. He had to have felt the love and compassion, I just wish it could have had a happy ending. Please try to find the dog that did it, a dog that attacks a domestic animal is just one step away from harming a human child. This I have learned from MANY dog attacks. At the very least it must be penned or not allowed to roam freely. My heart goes out to all you who cared, please accept my condolences on losing one so precious. RIP little one, you WERE loved for such a short time and will never be forgotten!

That is devastating.  I would like to repeat what Di and Bob said, thank you and everyone involved for trying to save him.  I'm so sorry for the outcome, but it warms my heart to know people cared and helped.

What a better place this world is for having people like yourselves in it.    Hopefully something like this never happens again and those marauding dogs are dealt with.
