I'm a little bit concerned that my cats "obsession" might become unhealthy for him. I got a male ginger tabby called Snickers and i think he believes that his whole live depends on my Love for him. I love him dearly but I think that his Love for me might just going a bit too far in the regard that it's impossible for me to satisfy his needs to be cuddled and loved back. He follows me everywhere i go, he always sleeps on my chest or neck, he keeps giving me little cat kisses everywhere and he wants to lick my face a lot. He's always on my lap and up in my face purring, whatever i do. He always stares at me and tramps around on my belly like he would with his mom when suckling.
When my partner wants to cuddle me he'd get inbetween, not aggressively, just trying to create a gap between us and occupying me. He waits at the door when i come home and just wont leave my site. It's adorable but i feel bad when i cant cuddle him all day long. Cuddling is by far the thing he loves most in the world, especially with me, he'd prefer a good cuddle over treats and playtime any time.
Does anybody Know whether this kind of behaviour could actually be bad for him and what i could do about it? I don't even want to think about what would happen to him if i had to be away from home for some days, like if i had to go the hospital or something.
