RIP Jake 02/01/00 - 11/11/14

This is Jake, one of the kitties we adopted when our friend died in Feb. 2013. He wasn't with us long--a little less than two years--but I sure got attached to the little guy. He had health problems and was deaf, but still--he didn't miss out on anything, and made himself heard. He was my alarm clock every morning at 6 a.m., yowling away and demanding that I get up to feed him! He drove me crazy with the yowling but it's sure going to be quiet around here with him gone.  We fought hard to bring him back to health with his IBD and later kidney disease, but in the end, he succumbed to his illnesses.

Jake was such a little character.  I will miss you, Jakie.

whew, two kitties within several months....I'm so sorry for both of your losses. You were an amazing friend to take them in.

I'm so sorry for your loss.     Jake was such a handsome guy. His pattern makes it look like he has a mask on.

I also read Molly's tribute again. So sad to lose them both. My thoughts are with you. 

Rest in peace, Jake. 

I'm very sorry you lost Jake, particularly so soon after Molly, and like to think of them cuddled together, watching over you and their feline companions.

I'm so sorry for your loss to your family, please accept my condolences and know I'll say a prayer for you all. You will surely be blessed for taking those babies in, what a wonderful friend and a compassionate human being. They do have a way of worming their way into our hearts in a short period of time, and how could you help yourself, what a handsome cat and such a beautiful face! You were there to give help and comfort at the end, there is no greater act of love. I'm glad you wrote such a beautiful tribute to honor the memory of such a beautiful cat, thank you for letting all of us know what a beautiful soul Jake was. The heavens have gained another angel, and I pray that Jake meets Molly at the Rainbow Bridge so they both may wait for your joyful reunion! RIP beautiful Jake, you will never be forgotten!

So very, very sorry for your great loss, Betsy. And, my goodness, Jake certainly was a very beautiful boy. I just adore his face. I am sorry you lost him, hun. So tough when we have to love them so and eventually let them go. It is always tooooooo soon. :shame:

Aww, Betsy, I'm so, so sorry.  What a sweet face that big boy had!  I know that he is thankful to have had such a great home for the time he was with you.  I know he must have loved that new enclosure! I'm so glad he got to enjoy it. Yes, he is with his buddy now, playing, & cuddling, I'm sure!  Hugs to you!!!!       

I am sorry for your losses of two cats in such a short time. How your heart must hurt. Jake was surely a beautiful cat. My goodness he looks like he would have been a joy to hold and cuddle with. Feel encouraged because you gave these cats so much love and a home that I am sure they appreciated. Many hugs going your way.
