Let me try and break the ice, by asking, what is one thing about yourself that you are sure no one in this place knows about you?

I'll start by saying, I have to sleep in a room where all closet doors are closed and the main door to the bedroom is open, or I can't sleep. (my dad used to hide in our closet and scare us by jumping out and saying "BOO!" after we would be settled down). So much for locking kitties out of the bedroom when they get active! LOL

One thing nobody knows about me here:


I can not take a shower unless the curtain is clear, and I will not ever close my eyes while showering.

(Too many scary movies and way too paranoid!)

lol. I close the bathroom door when I use the bathroom or shower.. even if I'm all alone. That's kinda weird isnt it?

I also cant sleep unless I'm covered in some sort of blanket.. even if its 1000 degrees out.

Hi everyone, and welcome to TCS!

Hmm, I think I've told pretty much everything about me at one time or another Oh, I have a fear of tornadoes (Lilapsophobia)-never seen one, never been near one, still scare the living daylights out of me. And my friends laugh at me because I always remember the strangest trivia.

One thing most people don't know about me is that I don't like to be confronted in any kind of ways .I am scared about that and will go in my little tiny mouse hole to hide if somebody will confront me . I also cant tell a lie what so ever .

One thing I haven't mentioned before is I'm becoming more and more of a perfectionist when it comes to general cleaniness in my home, (don't have small children) and I'm always interested in trying out new cleaning products.

I am deathly phobic of water: pools, lakes, rivers, oceans and in the shower, I can't put my face under the spray. I don't really even like beaches when the waves crash over the sand. When I was a little girl and we used to go once a week to the YMCA pool to swim, my older brothers and sisters used to tell me there were sharks in the pool - that's the only thing I can think of where this maddening phobia came from.

And a second on the positive side: I started college when I was 16 years old.

Me and StarDust came together were both kinda new also

Welcome everyone! I'm not a prolific poster but I check this board every day.

I have a phobia about metal scraping metal. If someone scrapes a knife and fork together I climb the wall! (yet scraping your nails on the blackboard will not bother me in the least.....this came in handy when I was teaching and needed to get an unruly class's attention ). I hate metal on my teeth too. I think this comes from bad dental experiences as a child.

Oh so we're sharing stuff like that.. LOL

Well whenever I get into some sort of water I check the bottom for any dark colored object that may be pained on as a shark. When I was little my uncle told me that there were sharks in the pool and then threw me in, sure enough there was a drawing off a shark on it, now I'm scared and must check the bottom.

Hmmmm, is there something that you all don't know about me?

I guess I'm a bit odd in that I don't really have irrational fears. I used to be paranoid about someone watching through a bathroom mirror, but I have gotten over that (or maybe I just don't care if they want to watch! LOL).

I can't sleep unless my shoulders are covered by a blanket, no matter how hot it is. Anything else uncovered is ok, but my shoulders must be covered.

I hate walking barefoot- my feet are not tough at all-
