I'm super sleepy today.  I tossed and turned most of the night...I'm not even sure I can come up with a good question today!  I need to get to the grocery store...but ugh...I don't want to!  I want to go lay on the couch!  I guess it's an extra coffee kind of day.  I'm just afraid I'll do something silly because I'm so tired right now.  Sometimes coffee just doesn't cut it.

How do you handle things when you don't get enough sleep?  Have you ever done something funny in your sleep-deprived state?

I know I've done some funny things; mostly when my kids were babies and not sleeping through the night (oh wait; my 2 year old has had me up multiple times a night lately...ha. ha. ha. h....
).  That usually involves breakfast making accidents.  I once forgot to screw the top on DD's bottle when I gave it to her.  I had laid her on a pillow on the floor with it and basically dumped it all over her!  I still remember the shocked look on her poor little face.
Once; before kids, I got in the shower and when it came time to put the conditioner on my hair...I slapped it on my face....
  I smelled nice at least?

I guess the worst thing I have done (that I'll admit to!) is that I poured coffee on my husband's cereal and poured the milk in his coffee cup. The bad thing is I handed it to him!

I made my husband a banana sandwich to take for his lunch. Only thing is I put mustard instead of mayonnaise on it. Somebody felt sorry for him and gave him one of their extra sandwiches that day.

My Grandpa likes cereal in his coffee!

Oh...yummy!
Don't feel bad; I never make my husband lunch.  I am NOT a morning person so I could easily see me doing something like this!!

I'm pretty much always sleep-deprived, so I'm used to it by now.

But when I was still working at the paper plant, I had just finished a week on first shift (7 a to 3 p). That Saturday morning, I awakened on my own, got up, got my shower, did my hair, and walked over to the bedroom to get dressed. Rick awakened and asked, "What the heck are you doing?" When I replied that I was getting dressed for work, he tskked and rolled his eyes (and yes, he rolled his eyes. In the dark. I know he did! I could tell). Then he said, "It's Saturday, Pam. Go back to bed!" It wouldn't have upset me so much, but I mistook where the bedroom door opening was....and walked into the door. Got to the hallway and walked into a wall, too. Still didn't register that it was Saturday.

Or the time he took me to a professional hockey game. I was on third shift (11 p to 7 a) and had taken a vacation day to go. There, right in the middle of the hockey game, surrounded by fans, lots of yelling, and the organ music, was me. Curled up in my chair with my coat covering me. Snoring. Seriously. I even awakened myself.
Rick said he'd never do that again.

And then the time when the smoke detector went off around 2:00 in the morning. Rick and our son were up searching the entire house. And me? I never even heard the alarm go off. Rick finally had to awaken me to tell me that maybe I should get out of bed. I just muttered something ("Leave me alone" probably) and rolled over. He was really peeved that time.

I don't make Rick's lunch. I never have. (Which is probably a good thing)

My best sleep-deprived goof was to put the butter in the dishwasher and the toaster in the fridge. Last week I messed up while sorting trash in the a.m., and everything ended up in the wrong bins.
