Okay.  No lectures here please.

I have a few outside barn cats to control the mice here.

I was told years ago that you simply put a dab of ivemec on your cats tongue and it works for worms.  Have been doing this for the past few years.

However, yesterday my adult cat started shaking.

My question is what should I do for her?

I have been giving her an eyedropper of milk and water every few hours.

There is no money here for a vet.

p.s.I will never use this poisen again for any of my animals.

You need to contact your vet ASAP. Many will offer advice over the phone for free.

If you are in the US, you can contact the Pet Poison Hotline: (888) 426-4435

Also, if giving the cat cow's milk, please stop immediately as this can lead to GI issues for kitty. (Goat's milk can be given...needs to be fresh/frozen.)

Even some of the 'regular' dewormers can have this effect, it is really hard to know what is the correct dose. As long as the symptoms don't escalate, it should be OK, but remember I am not a vet, I'm just giving you advise from experience. Tremors can be a normal side effect of these types of drugs, but shouldn't last more than hours. I would call the vet and see if there is any antidote they can tell you to give. Keep doing as you are doing and keep giving water. Please keep us posted on how she is doing. Good luck and I'll say a prayer too!

The poison hotline mentioned above does have a $65 fee, just so you know. It isn't necessarily cheaper than a vet.

In reading about ivermectin toxicity, it seems you're doing the best thing already - keep the cat hydrated, get some calories into her if she isn't eating, try to keep her comfortable. I will pray for you and your kitty, hopefully she will recover soon.
