Hi;

I have a recent stray I took in he was horribly malnourished to the point his body was eating it's self.  His ears were a horrible mess.  I started using a product called Rapha remedy from "long life unlimited"  I suspect what you have there is a fungal problem.  I don't think the rapha remedy cost more than $20, probably less but it lasts forever.  It worked miracles on the scabs my boy had and his ears even have grown back.  Cheaper than a vet.  I wouldn't use neosporin no good comes from antibiotics unless it is truly bacterial which skin things usually aren't.  Skin things are usually fungus.

Warm regards;

Rose

Whatever this is it's back!
I think it's some kind of allergy cause it disappeared for a few days now it's back again and it's only in his ear, this time his left ear!

Yep, that's what I think it is too, the switching ears confirms my suspicions that it is a reaction to something, likely food related.

[if gte mso 9]><xml> <w:WordDocument> <w:View>Normal</w:View> <w:Zoom>0</w:Zoom> <w:DoNotOptimizeForBrowser/> </w:WordDocument></xml><![endif]Just keep an eye on it.

Scratching likely causes it.

Your cat is probably scratching his ears.

But, it could also be ringworm.

Very possible.

Marielle had something like this, but I just watched it.

I can’t really tell what it is just by pictures alone.

But, it looks like it is getting better.

I’m glad to hear it’s getting better.

It could also be caused by a parasite.

I recommend purchasing the book Endocrine-Immune Mechanisms in Animals and Human Health Implications.

It would be a good idea to purchase some diatomaceous earth and put it in your cat’s food.

I also think a vet visit might be in order.

But, I do think it is getting better.

When I got Ollie he was very malnourished.

Her ears are looking perfect now.

I just switched my cats to a grain free dry food (duck) and I'm feeding them Petsmart authority brand kitten food (chicken) canned
I'm sure he is allergic to corn cause I used to buy worlds best cat litter and he was chewing his paws raw.
Now I have a feeling it's chicken! I'll wait a little bit to see if the new food is helping him, if not I'll switch their wet food as well

I'm currently working on switching my cats over to Wellness CORE Grain-Free Turkey & Duck Formula Canned Cat Food.

If you're really worried about it that much, take him to the vet so he can get checked and you have some peace of mind.
