I need urgent help for my cat with rgds to urinary tract infection / kidney disorder.
My 17 year old cat has been urinating very frequently.
We did 3 blood tests and 2 urine tests.
In the 1st blood test on 20oct, her urea is 14.8mmol/L and her crea is 247micromol/L. She was hospitalised for 3 days and given the IV drip. The blood levels went back to normal. In the blood test on 7nov, her urea is 13.0mmol/L and crea is 224micromol/L.
On 7nov, she also did a urine microscopy. Results are as follows:
Pro: trace
RBC: 5-10
Ph: 5
WBC: 75
USG: 1.015
white blood cell > 20/oif
Red blood cell > 10/oif
Suspicions of bacteria in cells
Now, my qn is whether my cat is suffering from UTI or does she have kidney failure? Its the 1st time i am seeing this vet, and she is very inexperienced. I need very urgent advice. My cat is still urinating very frequently. Please help!
