Good morning and Happy Friday!
It's been a long week and I'm ready for my weekend.

I'm not sure, but I think this might have been one of the very first questions I asked when I started doing the Question of the Day. It's been quite a while now, so I guess I can ask it again.

I am going to give you $1,000. You must spend the money on yourself. You may not spend it on the cats. You may not spend it on your children. You may not pay bills with this money. It is a gift to you and you must spend the whole amount on something for yourself. It can be something frivolous. It can be something you need, but haven't had the money to buy it before. It can be something you've wanted for quite a while. But you must spend the money on you.

What would you do with your $1,000?

Me? There's a laptop out there with my name on it.

I'd buy an iPad and spend the rest on new clothes. I'm up multiple times a night feeding my 4 week old son and wishing I had an iPad or something to use. I also really need new clothes since I had him. Nothing fits the same after being pregnant.

Buy a new laptop without a doubt.  I have a new PC, but that's upstairs in our "office" space.  I typically use my laptap downstairs, while doing other things.  It's literally just shy of dead right now but I really can't see buying another one anytime soon.  Just had my boiler replaced; $10,000

I'd spend some of it on clothes, I've been on a lifestyle change since March and i'm down to 1 pair of pants and a handful of shirts. Then spend the rest on a gaming laptop.

I would go to Area 51 Tattoo in Oregon and get my Star Trek piece I have been waiting for.

I think I'd go for a good camera and several lenses (or as many as I can get for that price...so maybe 1 more. lol) .

$1,000 isn't enough for the other things I want to do...like add a room and covered patio to our house.  I want a room with a fireplace and a TV free room where I can sit and read and things like that.  I also want a covered patio space to sit out and enjoy the backyard more.  We priced wood stoves this weekend; but even that doesn't fit into $1,000.

I would get a good quality home espresso machine so I could make my own coffee drinks at home.  I had a little home machine but even with the right beans the espresso didn't taste right.  I think you need the higher pressure in the good machines to get the espresso right.

Well, right now I would use it towards my wisdom teeth surgery, quoted $1,400 to $2,600...

But if I want to enjoy it, I'd say the same as my answer last time this question came around - massage therapy!

I'd get another tattoo. There is an artist down in Nagoya who does the most exquisitely coloured, finely drawn work, I have a back piece done by him, but there's room for more.

$!,000 would just about cover a tattoo, the train fare down to Nagoya and a night in a hotel.

That is easy, I am having sliding shutters put on my two sliding glass doors. When I ordered them I put down 50%. I still owe 900.00 when the job is done.

...with the cats...
i'm sure this sounds pretty boring -- i'd buy two loads (10 face cords each) of firewood and use the rest to buy a manual log splitter. i'd love to have a manual log splitter! or, if i had enough left after the firewood, an electric log splitter.

I don't want much. I just want family to watch the kids and me and hubby relax for a weekend alone at home.
I'd want:
Wine
Brie cheese
Filet mignon
Ok as I'm typing this I realize I also want a
massage and columbia packed out heat slippers.
If any thing is left fill my oil tank so I can put heat on 70.
