Hi everyone!

I have a four month old kitten named Lulu and I'd like to introduce her.
She is a calico I believe, but I've also seen her described as a Tortie, so I'm not sure which she 'officially' is. Let me know what you all think. She is pretty small for her age, and we think she was probably the runt. So, she probably will end up being a petite little girl, which I actually like.

We got Lulu when she was only 6 weeks old, so really young and SO tiny. For the first month or so that we had her, she was really sick with a variety of different things, and it was really scary. She was extremely quiet, subdued and wouldn't play at all. I was really worried about her for awhile. Thankfully, she is so much better now and she has done a complete 180 since then!

She has SO much energy and is so playful. She runs, climbs, and jumps around everywhere, and she's definitely a handful and can be sassy at times
I woudn't have it any other way though, as she's also such really affectionate and sweet, and I'd definitely describe her as a 'Mama's Girl'. She is really attached to me and I love that so much.

Before I got Lulu, I lived with a roommate and I was unable to have a cat even though I wanted one more than anything, but they were unfortunately allergic. My boyfriend and I recently bought a house together, and I literally picked up Lulu the day after we moved in...haha. She is seriously the best thing that's ever happened to me, and I never thought I could love a pet as much as I love her. She makes me so happy and she's such a wonderful addition to the family.

Anyway, that's just a bit about me and my little one. I hope you enjoy the pictures!

Oh, she is gorgeous! What a sweet little face.

I'm kind of confused about how to describe calico and tortoiseshell cats as well but I think she's a torbie.

Calico cats have solid patches of orange and black on white, torbies have tabby patterned patches of orange and black on white. I really should have this memorized by now, as I have two torbies and one tortie but it is kind of confusing. In Japan they are all known as Mi Ke Neko, 3-coloured cats, so I usually go with that.

Welcome to The Cat Site.

Thank you so much! And haha NO worries, your description makes sense. I had never heard of a 'Torbie' until I started researching a month or so ago, but I would agree with you. She doesn't match a calico description completely, but she's definitely not a Tortie, so I agree that she's probably best described as a Torbie. I'll ask the vet next time I go in to see what they think.

Is that your cat in your picture? He/she looks super sassy!! LOL ;)

Yes, that's my former feral bad boy Gin Kun. I've been taking care of him as an outdoor cat for the past three years, he moved in with us last April. Now he's retired from the life of a street fighting warrior cat he's pretty much a permanent fixture on our couch.

Looking forward to hearing more about Lulu.
