Hi guys, I took my little indi to get spayed last wednesday and she wouldn't keep the cone collar on so I decided to leave it off. I noticed that she pulled out her stiches and took her to the vet again to restich her and drain the fluid thay accumulated by her incision. Now she HAS to wear her collar but still refuses to keep it on, even with her regular collar through the loops. She is a tiny cat so I have no clue how else tI keep it on. Any suggestions or alternatives?? Thank you cat mama's

There are collars that adjust even to the tiniest cat. Put it in the last hoop but put your fingers in between to see that your kitty can breathe. It was exactly the same with Maia and to be honest with you I didn't sleep really well for the 10 days of her recovery. She was confined to the bathroom with the closet door closed so she wouldn't jump. My boyfriend and I took turns to go check on her and Thank God I was unemployed when this happened or I wouldn't have been able to leave her alone. On the second day I think I needed rest because like I said at night I was going to sleep and my body set an alarm for itself and I was waking up exactly every hour. So Anthony was supposed to check on Maia so I could rest and when I woke up he wasn't with her. I got mad and he said he'd left her alone for 20 minutes and she had taken off the collar. That was because I left it a little lose because I felt sorry for my baby girl. Anyways she licked the incision and I just had to put the collar a little tight. For almost 5 days I spend most of the day in the bathroom reading and stuff but I am an overly spoilerspoiler mother and I was scared that something would happen to my baby. at day 10 I took her to the vet to check on the incision and everything was absolutely fine. :)

This is Maia sleeping nin the bathroom because there was nothing else to do.

D devanmoll how is it going with your kitty? did she succumb to the Elizabethan collar or you had to use another method? I hope she didn't pull out her stitches again. I know how worried you must've been. I was freaking out two days after Maia got spayed and almost spent $100 for an emergency visit because she was shivering but she was fine.
I hope Indi is great too.
