My cat Pip, was unfortunately hit by a car 2 weeks ago. I took her to the vet, Pip had some claw damage as well as some missing altogether. She was suffering a limp on the left forelimb but vet found no broken bones. She still has a limp on front leg but still puts pressure on it and walks, but with some discomfort. I was wondering if a nail completely ripped out would cause her to walk on her wrist more or if I should take her back to see the vet.

A nail ripped completely off may cause a cat to walk a little lopsided for a while, but after two weeks, I would think the limp would have gone away. What does the nail bed look like--is the nail/claw growing back?
Ritz losts a nail to a carton of eggs + bag (long and kind of funny/sad story), she walked a little funny for a few days but then was okay. Took a while for the nail to grow back completely (three weeks?)
I'd call or take her back to the vets--better safe than sorry.

She won't let me check her paw without a struggle and I don't want to hurt her. It could be a sprain, how long do they take to heal? I will be making an appointment for Monday if no improvements :( poor little girl seems lost too because she no longer is allowed to roam outside. Can this cause slight depression? She still eats normally and all that.
