Should I give Drontal Cat to my Kitten?

Hello dear Cat lovers!

Today I came to you looking for advice. Many of you are experts in cat's health so I'm looking for your wisdom here!

I live in China, in my town there are few Vet clinics and all of them are manly focused in treating dogs. The same goes with the pet shops, you can find countless toys and medicine for dogs but very few things for cats. Having a cat is not as popular as having a dog in China and most of people don't care to much about their health and nutrition, so it's very hard to find good food for example.

So I have a black kitten who is 4 months now. I rescued him when he was 2 weeks old from the streets. He was abandoned. I raised him with goat formula and he is a strictly indoor cat only. So I control pretty much everything he eats, I haven't been able to vaccinate him because of the problem I just told you about, it's hard to find a Vet you can trust here.

I was surfing in a Chinese website where you can buy almost anything and I found this:

Drontal cats, a medicine to get rid of worms in cats.

Do you have any experience with this kind of medicine?

Can I give it to my kitten without a prescription from a doctor? (Remember I don't have a Vet around to ask)

Since my Kitten is a indoor cat he has no contact with other animals or plants but when he was 3 weeks old he got infested with fleas, I got rid of the fleas but it's possible that the fleas may cause worms, right? Recently he puked and he's been licking his rear more than usual so I'm concerned if he may have some developing larvae!!!

Thank you so much for your advice!!!

It's funny you should mention this since I just had to treat my dog and cats for tape worms.  Based on what I just read about those tablets I see no reason why you shouldn't give them as long as your kitten is over 1.5 pounds.  Make sure you weigh the kitten first though so you know what dosage to give.

I hope your cats and dog get better!

My kitten is more than 2 kg! so I think I can give him half of the coated pill.
