Thank you for your very kind words.  I am having a particularly difficult morning for some reason, so they came at a time when they are very comforting to hear.  I appreciate the support, it really does help.

Hi, how are you getting on? I had a rough morning today myself. I had a dream or a vision of my cat but it was so real and she was right there on the bed and I hugged her. I didn't want it to end. It was so intensely comforting for her to be back. I miss her so much. She was scared when I first got her but she grew to trust me and became very close. Agh, it's hard to get over it. Very hard.

Thanks, I just got back from a 10 day trip  back East to visit my Mom, and when I returned home and walked into an empty house I burst into tears.  It's the first trip I've taken since I lost Tabby, and not seeing him anxiously waiting at the door for me was more than I could bear.  I held his picture and his ashes close to my heart and told him I was home and I missed him.  It's the only way I could deal with the pain.  I hope I can get a good night's sleep.  You are very fortunate to have had such a realistic dream of your kitty cat.  I keep hoping that Tabby will come to me in my dreams, but it hasn't happened.  It's making it hard to move on from this.

Thank you.  It is because of all of the caring individuals like yourself on this site that I have been able to begin to work through this terrible loss.  There's much comfort knowing that others understand the pain and sorrow I am experiencing.  I wish none of us ever had to go through this, but we do and thank goodness there is this site to come to and visit in times of great sadness.  You are all a blessing. :)

it was kinda bitter sweet yesterday as I got out my Christmas tree box and began putting it up. Mikki of course jumped in the big box, but usually it's Mikki and Minnie both getting into every box and garland. It was a good diversion for Mikki though as she still is pretty "clingy" since Min's passing. It's amazing how different things just hit ya...BAM... and you can tear up within seconds. I still sometimes just shake my head and talk to Min's picture saying..I cannot BELIEVE you are gone. Her lil fur from where they shaved her leg still smells like her.... wish it would forever :)

I am so sorry that you are still hurting. The hurt will most likely remain for quite awhile.I lost my Mickey about four months ago and I still miss him terribly.I cry when I look at his pictures as I miss him so much.I look at his pictures often and talk to them as if he was here.I make sure I tell him I love him and miss him everyday.I feel in my heart that he hears me.I completely understand about the house feeling empty and lonely without your Tabby.Oh I do wish you didn't have to go through this pain.I know the pain can be unbearable at times. Please take care and know that you are not alone. All of us here understand your pain and we are here for you!!

However you feel, know that it is a normal part of grieving. These creatures share our lives so intimately that a part of us dies with them. Grieving is about healing and moving on. Healing comes with discussing your feelings. This forum is very helpful in that regard. Take care.

I'm so sorry.  I also talk to Tabby's picture everyday, and even pet his head to give me some comfort.  I tell him I love him every night as I turn out the lights to go to bed, without him lying at my feet.  Christmas will be especially difficult this year without him. :(

Thank you, this forum has been a life saver in helping me deal with the sadness and grief.  I don't know how I could have gotten through those first few days without the support I received here.  It is a true blessing and I am grateful!
