Cat's fur turning grey?

I was just wondering why my cat's fur is changing colour. When I got her as a kitten she was a tuxedo, pure black and white. 

This is her at 3 months.


Now she's one year old and every month her fur keeps turning more grey, she's almost all grey in her black areas except for her face and arms. Is this normal? Her mom was a chocolate himalayan/persian so shouldn't she be brown like her mom instead of grey? 

This surely can happen as kitten mature into their adult coats. Smokes start out black that way and tend to get shading as they age. Nothing unusual about this and it is very common. Beautiful kitty you have !! :love:
