Hello, Everyone!
I have been testing different kinds of cat foods and I'd like to make a combination of wet and dry, I am thinking of combining Great Life Essentials with some Orijen, morning and night, but since I do want to provide some raw, I was also thinking of integrating some Ziwipeak onto both (wet and dry), but I am worried to provide too much protein, which can be a problem. That particular combination would also be too expensive for me.
I usually rotate between K9 (water added), Primal Freeze Dried as main diet with half a can of Instinct, Nulo, Redbarn, and occasionally, Tiki. Then in the evening good quality dry such as Instinct or Farmina.
i can't spend more than $50 or 60 a month on cat food, so I want to make the best combination possible. With all this mixture of foods and brands, am I intoxicating my cat with too many proteins and vitamins?
On the other hand, he is healthy! Never vomits or has hairballs and seems pretty happy to me, but I am thinking on the long run. Am I being paranoid?
\Any suggestions?
I also heard about an ingredient that has some controversy, Cholecalciferol (source of vitamin D3) and read this:

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23295272

I then was shocked to see this ingredient in new products of a company I have used. I am intrigued, though, on how many of the "vitamin D3 supplement" listed on cat foods might be Cholecalciferol?
Cheers,
Chela
