Raspy meow voice

My older cat cinnamon the one that's in my avatar pic her voice is starting to get realy raspy sounding.Is this a sign of something wrong or is it her vocal cords just getting sore from be so vocal?Can someone shed so info if this is normal.

Well, cats make different sounds throughout their lives. But to make sure it is best to consult a vet. 

Since this is new I think I would get it checked as well.  One of my kitties has the raspy meow but she has always had it even when she was only 8 weeks old.

I know she was also diagnosed with a possible cancerous mass in her belly area would this have something to do with her voice changing?Unfortunately the lack of funds or pet insurance is keeping us from getting any more exams.She is almost 14 and its also getting harder for her to jump up on the table or desktop where she likes to lay.We hand a fund raising event which didn't go so well.Other than the things I described shes acting normal.She still likes to play with her toys and gets excited to see us when were gone.
