I like Italian, Chinese and Tex-Mex.  It really depends on what I am wanting at a particular time.

I don't particularly like Greek food.  I don't like cinnamon flavor in meat.

My favourites - Greek and Mexican.

I don't have a least favourite. I like something from most different kinds of food (Chinese, Indian, Thai, Italian, etc).

Mine are Italian, Mexican and Chinese.  Also love an all American meal such as steak with baked potato and veggies.

I do not  like Sushi or Japanese food.

I never got the whole Sushi thing either.  At first I thought it was a trendy thing that would disappear but it isn't.  I really don't understand the Sashimi thing.

My favourites are Thai and Chinese.

I don't think I have a least favourite... of the foods I've tried, the least appealing was Pakistani, but that's not to say I didn't like it.

I think sushi is okay, but I seldom go out of my way to get it - not to mention how cheap and easy it can be to make at home. I once told my friend, "rice, seaweed, and fish? I've had all those before, it's nothing new to me. What's the big deal?" I like both sushi and sashimi (I've always loved raw salmon), but I do think a lot of people got into it, and have kept it in business as what started as a fad. I think I'd sooner go for a nice, hearty okonomiyaki than sushi.

I love Mexican, Italian, Greek, almost any Asian food...I can eat almost anything.  The only thing that drives me nuts is "Southern" restaurants down here run by northerners who think they can cook southern foods.  They can't.

That's cool that you know how to make sushi, @pinkdagger!  I'm afraid to try it, probably because I dated a cook who knew how to make it and would not even consider getting meat from grocery stores to make it.

I made it once in a Japanese language class many moons ago.
Mine were always too fat, so they would be bursting. One of my teachers makes it with his family a few times a month and always has to brag with pictures, and my cousins (whose parents own a restaurant, but they don't serve sushi) make it from time to time too. The ones we made were with cooked meats and vegetables.

I read a news article not too long ago that a man in Guangzhou, China had eaten so much sushi full of worms that his blood stream was filled with little white specks all over his body (ALL worms floating around in his blood). I'm not entirely surprised something of below par health, safety, or quality happened in that area but I definitely understand the concern of getting your own grocery store meats!

I know you have to be very careful with the fish used for Sashimi.  Even with freezing to kill parasites the fish has to be top quality and very fresh.  I don't know if it's true or not but I have heard that only certain chefs in Japan are certified to use blowfish because of the toxin.  I don't know if that's true here.  I have also heard that there is a farmed variety that doesn't have the poison.

I CRAVE Mexican!!! I started when I was pregnant 40 years ago and never lost the craving. Anything hot and spicy, so I like Chinese too. My least favorite would be any meat that is raw, like pate or sushi. (I DO like my steaks med. rare) I think that comes from living on a lake front for years and picking up and smelling so many dead fish on my shoreline. When I taste sushi the texture and smell reminds me too much of a dead carp!

Every single country-and we have a lot represented here creates dishes in their own style. In California our Mexican is vastly different than Australia's version and Mexico's version. Our Italian is soooo different from Italy's version. Even between our states food is prepared differently.  So it is hard to say isn't it? Perhaps I am thinking to much. I tend to do that.

I love Sushi and Sashimi when it is done right. I like it in Southern California-we have TONS of Japanese people 50% where I grew up and they do it right.  And it is good in Japan but the price will kill you. However, it is not something you want every day. It does have to grow on you I think. :)

Californian Mexican, Thai, and Italian I could shove in my fat face every day. But funny I was not a fan of the foods while in those respected countries. I need my food *******ized .

I actually preferred the Chinese food in Germany to the Chinese food here but I like it here as well.

There are huge differences in Barbecue by regions as well.  I grew up in Kansas and I still prefer that type of barbecue.  It's tomato based that is a little sweeter than what is usually done in Texas.  I don't care for the mustard, vinegar based barbecue done in parts of the Carolinas, it's often referred to as Carolina gold.  I think a lot of our tastes are formed in childhood.

When it comes to food there isn't much I don't like.  Unless your talking bugs, snakes, etc.

Favorites: Italian, Greek, Tex-mex, Mexican, Puerto Rican.  Least favorite....are we saying what we'd rather not eat at all?  I'll go with any kind of organ meat.

I was thinking as long as you don't try and feed me anything fishy or offal (organs) I like pretty much any kind of food, but now you mention it,  I don't fancy bugs either!

Other than the above I like most things but tend to prefer vegetarian stuff as very fussy about meat / poultry - has to be lean!  Love foods from different cultures esp spicy stuff.

Chinese, Indian, Japanese (mostly the sushi, tonkatsu and udon variety), Thai. Spicy ones are nice.

Don't really like Mexican. Haven't really tried others -- I'm not very adventurous when it comes to food.
