I've tried so many kinds of food with my two cats and so far have found none they'll eat more than once. I'm a poor college student working 8 hours a week and right now can't afford the expensive brands and I'm getting sick of wasting food they won't eat. So far I've tried Fancy Feast, Friskies, President's Choice, Meow Mix, Grreat Value and they hated them all! Except... Whiskas pouches. I gave them to my kitties and they gobbled them up and love them!

I've heard that it's the worst food, but it's all they'll eat!

I am not judging your choice of food because I have two picky cats as well . Finding a food for them has been difficult .

Just so you know the Whiskas pouches have BHA/BHT which are chemical preservatives  . Not good stuff ..

Here is a little info .  http://www.aplusflintriverranch.com/define-ethoxyquin.php?win=small

If your cats seem to enjoy food in pouches maybe you could try  Friskies Pouches  , I think they are similar to Whiskas but without the BHA/BHT ..    Or you take one of the brands you already tried , Fancy Feast for example , and each day mix in a a tiny bit with the Whiskas . Each day add just a bit more . You could do that with other brands as well ...

Regarding the cans, you might consider warming them when you try feed. Heat some water in the microwave and let the food can sit for a little while, enough to warm. Usually it makes the food more smelly, which cats LOVE and make them more apt to try it. (don't ever microwave the cat food directly though, cats will never eat it after that)

You can also try mixing in one of those gravy pouches they love with the cans they're not so fond of. Something none of my cats have ever been able to resist is sardine chunks... I buy a couple cans of Tikki Cat or Weruva sardine/mackerel and mix a small amount into the food I want eaten that meal and they usually gobble it up, though they might not have been so happy about it originally.

I have an extremely picky older cat who has taught me all manner of tricks. He's quite a talented trainer X-)
