Missing cat really upset

I'm confused anyone can help. I have five cats and they go out regularly. Three younger ones jump the fence. This morning I let a brother n sister out during the day. The brother was there but the sister never came back. It's been all day now. I'm freaking out. Also there were several extra strays in the area lately and even the ones around aren't anywhere to be seen. Is it possible animal control took them or her?!! She'd usually be back by now it's 10pm. I don't know where she is. It's close to Halloween too I'm going to have a nervous breakdown.
Also I swore I heard something near my house duringn the morning. I thought I heard her meow and something on the roof. I thought she was on the roof since she goes there. But she wasn't. It's just really scary I think I'm goijg to freak out

Does she have a collar and tag?

No. Is it possible animal control took her and the other strays

How would they know about them? Did a neighbor complain?

Well I would think so. Well late at night I heard a meow at the door and there she was! I really didn't know what to think because of Halloween and she's black and calico. Also the other strays showed up too. Maybe they were all having a party somewhere. Lol

You really shouldn't be letting them out so close to Halloween. :/

Well, you've already found her, I can't give advice on how to find her.

We've found cats with their ears sliced or tongues mutilated after Halloween in our neighborhood. Id hate for you to let her out tomorrow and not find her for a few days, only to have found someone did something terrible to her for fun/silly religious belief/tradition/see what would happen.

First I am glad you have your baby back.

Second, if I were you I would not want to go through this again. Is it possible to make your babies indoor cats? Or if you cannot how bout collars and ID all around just to give your mind some ease when they are out and about.
