The Brown Truck of Happiness brought me a Nook HD+. My brother got one with 32GB of internal memory, so he sent me the 16GB he has had for a year or so.  WOW  The screen is huge (9" diagonal) and the graphics are amazing. Angry Birds Star Wars 2 has never looked so good. It also has 1.5 times the processor speed and twice the RAM. I put some HD movies and stuff on it. It played them perfectly.

Congrats, Terry! That's the one I have! The Angry Birds colors are beautiful. And so are the colors from Bubble Witch Saga 2. (The only difference is that I got the 32 GB of memory and put the card in from my old Nook. Card still works and now I have 64 GB.

You have a great brother.

.Yep, I agree with you there. I now have 3 nooks. Have you run any HD movies on yours, yet?

I stole that phrase from one of the shooting forums I am a member of. They also called it The Big Brown Truck of Happiness.

I'm going to call it that from now on myself.
The level of happiness depends on who and what gets out of it when it comes up my driveway.
Vitamines are appreciated; but not on a banana dance level.

The more I use my new toy, the better I like it. I compared it side-by-side with my Nook Color. The HD+ is a lot clearer, has better colors, and of course is quite a bit bigger. I took it to Walmart, started an episode of Family Guy, and pushed it around in the shopping cart. No washing out of color under the mercury or fluorescent lights. A 8GB SD card holds a movie and about 20 half-hour episodes of various animated shows. I have another blank 8GB card, so I am going to wait to buy a larger one.

Just did a recount. It was 34 episodes. Including Season 10 (6 episodes) of Red Dwarf, and Season 1(7 episodes) of Chef.

Terry, have you noticed that sometimes touching the pad doesn't really "take"? I get a lot of library books and when I touch to confirm the download, it will often not do a thing. Last night, I tried to download one book seven times. I would touch "Confirm and Download" and get nothing. Do it again and then I'd be hitting the Return button because the "Confirm and Download" button didn't take. It is frustrating beyond belief sometimes. I did not have that trouble with the Nook Tablet, but with the Nook HD+, I really have issues with tapping the screen, especially when it comes to my library.

I haven't even tried to watch anything on the Nook; nor did I on the Nook Tablet. I do surf on it and I play a few games. Mainly, I use it for reading.

Not really. I usually do my shopping on the computer or on the First Edition I have. My problem is the sensitivity of the HD+. Sometimes, it seems like it is doing the action by itself. I know it is because I have touched it, but very lightly. Do you keep the screen wiped down with a microfiber cloth? The HD+ seems to show fingerprints more than the Color.

You ought to watch a movie on your HD+.  Just be sure to have something under your chin so when your jaw drops, it won't fall off.

I'll have to try it.

I watched "Mr. Peabody and Sherman" last night. The HD+ performed perfectly. I started "Frozen" but got too sleepy and stopped it after 15 minutes.

All the things I have been watching were sideloaded on a micro SD card. I get 6 movies on a 8GB card.
