Anybody know about these toys?

We received them in a little "goodie bag" full of cat toys. Not really sure about them though (if that makes sense) you can't really have your cat throw them around like a ball, and Happy's not into the ringing sound it makes. Any ideas?

Have never seen those before!! I know my cat's would not really be interested though if it makes a ringing sound as you say. I guess if you could put treats or catnip inside then it may entice a cat to play with that kind of toy. It looks a bit clunky to me for a cat toy. :dk:

do they have little "legs", like three of them, on the top and bottom of the toys? the legs being what sits on the floor? if so, i have some of these somewhere for my cats. they do skitter across the floors really well when batted around by the cats.

would it help to set these toys on a rug or carpeted area, so maybe they'd make a little less noise? is there a little bell that's ringing in them?

My cats got one red one in a Christmas Stocking last year.  It rattled.  They fought over it and there was only one in the stocking.  I went back to Petsmart to find more, but there were not any.  I think they liked the way it slid on the hardwood floor. I stepped on it and broke it   Where did you find it?

I found something that looks similar but has little ribbons on them. these are getting harder to find. no red one though.

I really wish i could find these.  I have one left and it's broken.  I've looked everywhere.  This is the only toy my little calico will play with day and night.  She never, ever tires of this toy...

Are you referring to the same toys that OP posted in the picture? Do you remember where you got the ones that you have? 

Yes, I got them at "Beastly Bite" in Brooklyn.  I purchased all they had at the time which was 3 packs. That was over a year ago.  They never replenished the stock...

These toys are getting much harder to find. What you might want to do is bring one of the toys in to the store and ask them who their supplier was. They might be able to tell you and then you can see if you can order from them directly.  I could only find the same ones I told the OP about and they have the ribbons on them. These are also becoming scarce and the one site that seems to have them is in Australia. The item is 6 up from the bottom.

Doesn't work - when you "add to cart", they've been discontinued.  I've tried other sites too that supposedly have them, and it's the same thing.  I need to find out how to make them myself.

I was thinking about Oriental Trading. They have so much stuff. Maybe you can find something in the novelty toys that they sell for party favors

You can also go to your local Wal Mart or Party City and check the party favors for something similar. They might not have anything with a bell but they could have something that your kitty would like to bat or toss around

Thanks so much for all your help.  I really do appreciate it, and my kitties have enough toys to open their own store, but my girl is only interested in these flowers.  My little boy will play with almost anything - when he plays...

So frustrating when you find that one special toy your cat covets & they discontinue it!! Augusta's was Hartz Marty Mouse, old-school style, with the stuffed furry mouse body and eyes/ nose/ ears that he ripped off. Ol' Marty went through a redesign years ago to make him "safer" for kitties. I contacted Hartz & they sent me the last 2 old Marty's they had. I have tried countless Marty imitators but none of them have any appeal for Augusta. Sadly, the scrap of fur that was his last Marty was lost in a move and I swear it was like a child losing his binky.
Would the OP be a willing source for your cat's favorite toy? Maybe try PM them & see if they would you send you one or if they have access to a store that sells them? Good luck on your quest!
