Missing Kevin

I lost my Kevin, only 6 1/2, to FIP very suddenly about 5 weeks ago....seems like yesterday. My other 2 adult male cats have been hysterical, nervous, antsy, angry and confused ever since.  It's awful but I am looking forward to a little relief to the pain as I'm getting a new 3rd child, Karmine, who is almost 8 mos old and a spitting image of my Kevin.....and the best part is that he really needed a home, he was in the Shelter over a month and I don't think animals go beyond 2 mos in the Shelter before they are euth.....so sad....but Karmine comes to his new home tomorrow....still real sad about my Kev
this was his last pic right after we found out he had this horrible FIP and I swore to him we'd beat this somehow.  Such a cute little dude.

I'm so sorry about Kevin.  

It is wonderful, though, that you can offer Karmine a home and that she looks like him.. I'm sure Kevin would approve.

I'm really sorry to hear that you lost Kevin that way. What a sweet face he has.

I saw Karmine's photo on your other post, he was really lucky to be given a home just in time. I hope he gets on well with your other two.

I'm so sorry for your loss, the hole it leaves in your heart takes a long time to heal. My condolences also to your other two, they must be so confused and sad right now. I'm glad you are giving Karmine a forever home, far too few ever get that chance, and it helps you to celebrate the love that you shared with Kevin and is now his legacy to you. He was a beautiful cat, I'm partial to grey tabbies, my Chrissy was one and I miss her dearly. Please take care of yourself and give kisses to your remaining family for me, they are mourning too. I'll keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.........RIP beautiful Kevin, you will never be forgotten!

I go back and forth with that decision of getting another kitty since Min died. My Mikki is still grieving..she's got into a pattern of howling in the middle of the night and I can tell she is wondering why isn't Min around... even though she did give Min a lick on the head after she passed. I am just so nervous about introducing another kitty since Mik is already stressed... but then again, if they'd bond that'd be awesome.
