As I have posted many times I have been trying to get my cats to wet food consistently without success .  I have tried  about 20 brands in various flavors & textures .  I have decided  to to stick with one brand .

Friskies 5.5 oz cans is  very affordable for me . I can afford to feed this twice a day . It is not the best but is decent for wet food . It also has many flavors for variety .

I could really use some tips and tricks . One thing I will not do YET is cut out the kibble 100 % until they are eating the wet consistently . They are eating Go ! Fit & Free which is excellent for kibble . Zero grain , zero gluten and low carbs @ only 16%..

What are the best flavors of Friskies to try for super picky cats ?

What would be a good topper other than Purina Fortiflora ( my cats hate it ) ?

Thank you ..

I prefer to avoid the heavily fish-based flavors because too much fish isn't good for cats. Most of the flavors do have some fish though (only Country Style Dinner and Mixed Grill don't). Poultry Platter has real turkey as the first ingredient (not by-products), so that's a good one. Really it's hard to say what your cats will like best so you'll probably just have to make a good guess or try them all. Keep a notebook to keep track of what flavors they like or you might forget :tongue2:. There are a LOT of choices so hopefully you'll find a few your cats will enjoy.

This article is going to be your best friend. http://www.catinfo.org/docs/TipsForTransitioning1-14-11.pdf
I wouldn't waste any more time buying more cans of food, use up the ones you already have. At this point, buying different flavors is only going to add to their pickiness because right now They are controlling what they are being fed, not you. ;)
No more free-feeding, make scheduled meals, set a time limit, and put out just a small amount of canned with every dry meal you feed. Crush up their dry food and sprinkle it on top of the wet you give.
If you have any questions after reading the article, just ask!

Awesome , thank you very much . So I should stick to just one flavor for now ?  I bought 4 different flavors  so which ever one they seem to like the most I just get that one for now . I never free feed , they have always been scheduled feeding .  So instead of twice a day I move to 3 times per day ..Their kibble is really tiny so I can just sprinkle a bit on top ... I will keep you posted .

Thank you so much .  Yes I got 4 different flavors and I am saving the labels and putting in a notebook with my comments .

I used Friskies pates to transition my cats and they still eat it exclusively. They eat Mixed Grill, Turkey and Giblets, and Chicken & Liver. My picky boy (who used to be 100% anti-canned food) will not touch Poultry Platter for some reason.

Thank you , I will try the Turkey & Giblets  . My cats seem to prefer turkey & chicken flavors .

Yes , I bought 3 cans of the Friskies  pate formula .. They did eat some of it but their poop was horrible and putrid smelling ..Since they did not seem to mind the pate I am going to go with  the Fancy Feast Classic Liver & Chicken instead ..

Never was a frisky fan. There is no smell with more expensive foods. Also there is a poop adjustment period. Did you try nutro natural choice Chunky Chicken Loaf. Mine find it irresistable (just THAT flavor) in that brand. There is no carageenan in it. Their other favorite is Pride Rockstar Rabbit (pricier) they also like Wellness Devine duos chicken/duck.
Natural balance delectable delights catatouille stew. Merrick duck or chicken pate. They seem to like one of each brand. Luckily we did this food experiment between 4 catlovers with 7 cats, where we exchanged the ones no one liked. Funny they all seemed to like the same ones best, except for the seafood junkie.

Yeah , Friskies  apparently  does not agree with my cats .. I got a few cans of the Fancy Feast Classic Liver & Chicken  .  I will see how they do on that .  Basically I want to find just one brand and stick with it  until they are consistently eating wet food ..  Maybe later on I will try the Nutro ..

Right now I just have to find something affordable that I can feed them twice a day .. Here the Nutro is $ 1.10 for a 3 oz can , I just can't afford that for 2 cats ..

Yeah  I understand about the "poop adjustment period" but I don't think their poop should have that putrid smell ..

Hang in there it would be the same for people going from cereal to steak, the smell adjusts itself.
Thank you very much .. I think they will be fine once they get used to  eating the wet food on a regular basis . I just can't give up  ..

*UPDATE*

Thank you all for the suggestions .  I decided to try FF Classic instead of Friskies ..

I gave each cat a can of the FF Liver & Chicken and they ate the whole thing ..   I guess they like it ..

Told you that one was popular, they even charge more online for it. Give the chopped grill (classic) a go also!
