Hi all

I still have 2 of my 5 foster kittens, one big black fella, one tortie girl  (always the last!).  Well an adopter for 2 of their sisters got them tested and they came back as positive for Roundworm.

Presumably all the other kittens have it as well as must be from the mother cat (a feral)?  They don't have diarrhea at all but the girl is small and looks skinny despite eating okay.

The rescue who is doing all the medical would not fecal test momma or the kittens, they just treated them all with Strongid, once during their first shots, then another for their third.  This was maybe 6 weeks apart so I think maybe it didn't work as the vet perhaps timed it wrong?

Anyway,  I have some Panacur C (three 1-gram packets) that I hear works on cats with roundworm.

Does anyone know the doseage for 5 month old kittens?  Is it safe to give to small kittens as the girl is quite little despite them being littermates.  Should I just treat then vet them or should they see a vet to be certain?

Thanks a lot in advance!  Tearing my hair out with this rescue as they don't seem to care about these kittens.

I am so sorry about no responses to your question !!!! But, I honestly do not know on this. But, can for sure say that since the kittens were wormed six weeks apart then it must be done all over again. It needs to be 2 - 3 weeks for sure. I hope you were able to get an answer from the rescue or a vet!!! :vibes::vibes:

AND, a big hug to you for fostering. :hugs: :grphug: :bigthumb: Certainly comes with many challenges.
