Is Frederik a kitten?  Because mine is going through a similar phase.  Whenever he goes for my leg, I point my finger and frown, and then put him on his cat tree.  I think all kittens go through this phase.   (I can't use verbal reproofs because he's deaf, or I'd firmly say "No.")  It passes, but you don't want to encourage it in any way.  For instance, I don't wiggle my toes in front of him, because i don't want him to associate them with play.  If he goes after my toes, I divert him with a toy.

The Rogue did that. Big time. When you handed him around as a tiny fur ball, a chew toy was always handed with him so he had something to bite into that didn't result in yowls. Not that it helped much. I have tons of videos showing him attacking and wrestling stuffed animals twice his size...

What did help was adopting another kitten (the Rogue wasn't adopted as such, he was extracted from my car's engine when he was 5 weeks old). In the Rogue's case, though, more than one playmate was needed, but usually one does the trick nicely
