Worried about my cat's mouth

My cat Kin's got a swollen upper lip. I didn't think much of it until he bit all over a brand new cloth catnip log and what looks like blood came off it. I assumed it had something with his new teeth coming in, and wouldn't be a problem when he dropped his old ones. He's a 7 month old indoor cat, and he does play a little rough with the smaller kitten (1 1/2 months) that I've got. Any thoughts?
