Hi,
When I first got my cat, who is now 4 years old, I used one since there were issues with the litter box (peeing on the rug instead of in the box), and also the cat was new to the house. I didn't expect to run into the problem of peeing outside the box again 2 years later, but unfortunately she is doing it again. Should I get one of those collars? I think most of the problem is litter more than stress related, as I had been using a different brand of litter over the last few months (long story explained in my other recent post). The litter smelled very strong when changing the box, and so I'm hoping that the odor problem was the cause of the urination issue. This litter-box problem is really upsetting to me, and seriously makes me think that this well might be my last cat. It is going to take a long time to build up any trust in her again. I think the room that she was peeing in is simply going to be off limits. It's too bad, since she has always loved laying on our bed in the morning sun. We'll see how things go. My wife had to really work hard to get the smell out of our hardwood floors, and I'm still not done with the rug. I really am getting too old for this sort of crap.
Thanks,
Keith
