Hubby has an ethnic full-size 1988 Chevy van (by ethnic I mean that you can tell a black man owns it). I like driving it some times (it's really funny when some young black dude drives past and does a double take at seeing a middle-aged white woman driving it). LOL!!!

Our last name is Cooper and I threatened Hubby that I was going to get a Mini Cooper and put Cooper tires on it and eat my Cooper cheese whilst driving it. Heh, heh.

My father drives a 1970 Chevy Custom-20 which he uses for work. It has over 200,000 miles on the engine.

That is my husband's next car - he has a 1996 red Volvo 850R that is lightning fast with the turbo, but wants a hybrid for environmental reasons.

Hey 3blackcats: I learned to drive on a 1970 VW auto-stick beetle!!

Susan,

My sister drives a 2002 black Chevrolet Sliverado with an extended cab and long box. As we carpool to work, one of us has to drive a four wheel drive, escpecially in the winter months.

That's my Teg!

If you really want to check her out, go to www.team-integra.net, register, click on site items on the left, then TI Project Cars, then 1994 RS. All kinds of info and pics there...

Currently I'm driving a 1989 Subaru Legacy who is proudly over 157,000 miles and still getting me around town.

Hubbie drives a 1994 Chevy S-1o Tahoe with a rebuilt engine and we expect it to go on almost forever <G>...it's a beloved truck

Since I know that Sarah the subaru isn't going to last forever, I'm hoping to get a subaru forester next, probably used but only 2-3 years old. I'd currently rather spend my money on other things than blow $20,000+ on a new car/suv or truck.

Now..someday, if money isn't an object, I do want to get a classic car or two, and then I'll cheerfully pay a bit more than I want to now for a car.

My most beloved/fun car of the past? A 1973 Toyota Celica GT sportscar that I drove cross-country when I moved from NY to Colorado in my 20's
OH what a sweet, sweet car that was!

I'm thrilled to see that your Subaru has lasted so long. Mine is 10 years old now with slightly over 95,000 miles on it. I'm so hoping it'll last me quite a number of more years. I'm not giving it up until it doesn't run.

Oh I love this little subaru, except for the clock no longer working, we love the 4 wheel drive, the cruise control and air conditioning, and gas mileage though it has decreased is more likely due to needing a tune-up...as of last year it was still in the high 20s to mid 30's per gallon, which isn't bad <G>.

I wish you many more miles with your Subaru!

Wow, for an almost 15 year old car, I'd say yours is really hanging in there.

This is my very first car. It's a Ford Focus ZX3. We only returned it for recalls about 7 times.
Hey Malynn What color was your car?

And this is our truck that we have now. It's pretty good. I like it. It's a Ford Ranger Edge.

Both of these cars were leases.

My husband drives a Nissan Sentra, and I have a Dodge Caravan. I'm on the prowl right now for a newer van though, I want one w/ the dual doors.

We also have an antique 1975 280z, which is my husbands baby. I swear he loves that car more than me sometimes
