My 7 year old cat is very aggressive when handled.  At best, you can give her a few quick pets before she tries to bite you.  She is large and can be quite fierce.  She only eats dry food.  Though I've tried, she has never wanted canned or fresh foods.  I've tried sprinkling the crushed pill  on her food and adding a little tuna juice, I've tried just sprinkling it on dry food, I've tried pill pockets and even mixing it with a little soft butter and putting it on the side of her paw in hopes she would groom it off.  My best luck has been with just sprinkling it on her dry food but she isn't eating it all.

Anyone had some tips?  I can't think of anything else.  Trying to put her in a towel burrito only makes her crazy and my husband is allergic to her so not very willing to help.

Thanks!

Wow, that's a dilemma.  Have you ever tried any calming things--like diffusers, collars, or treats, to calm down your kitty before you try to give meds?

How about dissolving the pill in a small amount of tuna water or low sodium chicken broth and giving it to her to drink in a bowl, instead of putting it on the food?  But I don't know what kind of pill it is, maybe it's too bitter to do that way.
