Hi - I took in a feral momma cat and her 3 kittens. Today I took the three kittens (they're 8 weeks now) to the vet for their checkups, immunization and deworming via revolution. Since I could not get the momma cat into the carrier she did not come, but the vet sent me home with an adult dose of Revolution for her to give asap and then change out the litter boxes.

Since I scared her really bad just trying to guide her into the carrier earlier she doesn't trust me now and I had to misdirect her focus while I attempted to apply the Revolution. I'm sure you can guess... it dribbled everywhere on fur from the point at which I had started to put it to the top of her head. I think most of it is on her fur... and now... *sigh* I have to get this to work... we know the kittens have roundworms... and I'm sure from the way she looks and what the vet said, that momma has a bad case of them.

Can I try a second dose on top of what I did, or should I sit back and pray it does a little something. Or is there something in between? It's been a ~long~ day with trying to round her up, all the vet visits, the instructions, cleaning and resetting 3 big litter boxes and this. I just need to curl up in a ball and sleep... ... aww nope, the little ones are still out and need to be put away where they're safe.

I would call the vet and ask what you should do. It may not be good to give a second dose too soon.

The vet could also give you a dewormer in a pill and you could put it in some food, that may be a little easier. Bless you for taking care of them and all you do!
