Hi and welcome to the site :wavey:

Two Inexperienced cats can mate, no reason why they shouldn't.

Maybe this is just natures way of telling you that neither of these cats were meant to have kittens, and that they should be neutered and spayed. ;)

If you arent a breeder of pure breds, we dont recommend to making new litters.  There are lotsa of needy cats anyway.  Unless you do have some verry especial reason...

I myself, Im not totally against breeders of moggies, but of course, to be approved by me they must be very serious anyway it what they are doing. And had though over what, why and how...

If you want to have kittens and follow their development, you can surely  cooperate with some rescue group, or even - your local high kill shelter.  They will be grateful to you to not need to gase a perfectly healthy high preg, or a mom with small kittens...  Not even mentioning how grateful this mom will be - they do understand perfectly well the situation, and their miracolous saving.

OK, lets assume you want to go on.

They could succeed anyway, even if you didnt saw anything.  They can continue afterwards too, if that is their fancy.  If they werent friends before, they become friends after the first mating, and next tries are much easier for both of them.

Did she rolled around and licked herself intensively after some of the mating?  If yes, its sure they succeed.

But if they dont manage, although they were unstressed and had several days and lotsa of tries, it may be as GemsGem says: its not Gods purpose for them two to have kittens.

Good luck!

Thanks for the reply.for information mother cat is very healthy and 1 year old and I think she can manage kittens.about male he is 10 months old Persian white cat with two different color eyes blue and green.female cat is lynx pointed Siamese cat.

If my cat is pregnant I am very happy to have her kitten and if I need to go vet many times and I have to pay more I am happy to pay but I don't want to spay she because its natural of cats to mate and give birth to kittens so I want it to be natural.also I am ready to take care kitten also.

As you told that after mating she rolled and licked but I am not sure that they have mated or not because I am not able to see them because of lang hair of male.usually when they mate successfully female refuses imidately after mating as I seen in video on YouTube and rolls and licking.but my female cat don't refuses him.but from 2 days I think she is not in heat anymore also eating more food than normal.

I have questionthat how I can confirm that she is pregnant or not? Within how many days I can know that she is pregnant? Can you please guide me about this step of my female cat.

Also I have one more female silver shaded Persian cat she was in heat before 2 months that time my male cat was only 8 months so he was not interested in mating so I just leave my female in heat.she was in heat many times but male not interested before 2 months.and now from 2 months she is not in heat and not pregnant also so can she come in heat again? If yes then nearly when? Is there any problem with her?

Hope you will reply soon.

Thanks

Cats can come into heat at any time of the year, but in the wild state it is more common for it to happen during the later part of winter so that kittens are born in spring, when it is easier for them to survive. But when full males are left with females then the females can become pregnant at other times, as female cats are induced ovulators - that means that if a male insists on mating, the actual act of mating stimulates ovulation or egg production and the cat can be made pregnant. As your male is inexperienced (though he will soon learn!) this is less likely to happen right now with your cats.

I do feel I must say something about spaying/neutering, although I know opinions vary. You say it is natural for cats to mate and give birth, and of course this is true. But it is also true that in the natural state more kittens die than survive, and also many cats die through the reproduction cycle - either by males fighting over females or females through complications in the birth process or just be being worn out physically by constant pregnancy and nursing. When we take cats into our homes, we take responsibility for their well-being too, and this means preventing these problems that cats themselves have no control over. A domestic cat can live to 16 or beyond in good health, something unknown in the wild. And most kittens born to a house-cat live, so that a cat allowed to breed unchecked could have at least two litters of 6 or even more kittens every year. This is a lot to look after, for the mother cat and the owner. And it will eventually affect the mother's health, and also make her more likely to get mammary or cervical cancers. Professional breeders know all this and do not allow their cats to breed until they are fully adult (around a year and a half) and then a maximum of two (often only one) litter per year. The females (known as queens) are usually retired from breeding and spayed after a few years.

Cats are not like humans, they do not miss breeding or having kittens. So after your females have had their first litters, I do hope you will think about their welfare and consider spaying them. It will be good for your male too, to neuter him, as he will soon start to show unpleasant behaviour around the house, spraying urine to mark his territory and maybe being aggressive. He will be much happier if he is neutered.

All that being said, we are always here to answer any questions you have about the care, behaviour and health of your cats, and will help you through any pregnancies that happen.
