Minnie is my new kitten who is about 3-4 months old, super energetic, easily entertained, follows me around everywhere, she is the sweetest thing but I don't know what breed she is. I've had people say she is just a domestic longhair and others say maine coon or ragdoll. There is nothing wrong with not knowing if she mainly stays at home but since I take her for walks it would be nice to be able to say with certainty what breed she is instead of guessing, can anyone help me out? These are some recent pictures of her
.

Just say she is purfect! LOL I say my domestic med hair is part Maine Coon because she looks like she is. Maybe yours does too!

The fact is, my cat and yours are a mix like 99% of cats. They both look similar-(Domestic med/long haired) w Mackerel tabby markings.  Regardless I think my cat look and acts like a Coon (down to a T) so I call her that. I am not going to sell her and I do tell folks she is a mix. So what is the harm?

After all most people are mixed blood but like to identify with one nationality or race why can't cats?   Just because I am only half French I cannot claim my heritage? I have to be pure?

Just look at your baby and decide if any one cat breed comes to mind and read up on see if your cat fits the description.

Thank you very much, I never thought of that but what you say makes sense. @Slykat12

I would say, domestic, medium haired.   SHe seems shorthaired on the body, but the bushy tail reveals her.   :)

And with domestic I mean here, I dont see ragdoll, nor even MCO, in her.

Sweet kitty.

Would you mind telling me how to identify the two breeds? I've heard that ragdoll is usually fluffy but the personality is what gives them away and as for the mainecoon, I've heard the the main traits where the ear tuffs, paw tuffs, and almost feather duster-like tail. Also I'm curious, is a domestic medium a better way to tell people that she's a mix? I'm just curious because I don't think that telling people she's a furry mess of everything sounds very proper (even if it is true lol). Thank you on saying she's sweet too :)
