Have to share my wonderful news...

I've not been on this board for awhile as I've been busy being a foster mom - but not to kittens, instead a darling set of siblings!

For their privacy I'll refer to them as Bunny (9), Bear (8), and Monkey (6), two girls and a boy.

We will hopefully be adopting them early next year. Our .26 (termination of parental rights) hearing happens in November.

They get along well with the cats. We've let them be nipped and scratched when they have pulled tails or done something the cats don't like. They don't repeat the behavior and the know they will not get any sympathy from us about it!

All in all it's now a busy home with three kids and three fur babies. I'm so happy though, I don't mind it one bit!

Yeah!!People babies!!

I always thought more people with good sense should try and

take on some children from broken homes.

After all anyone can make a baby but it takes a human being to raise them, nurture them and parent them.

Good luck with the adoptions.  It takes very special people to do a good job parenting children from a bad situation.

Thanks for the warm wishes! The kids are amazing and were ready to find a home and be bonded so we have managed to blend together nicely. :)

Oh good luck!!

My Aunt and Uncle recently adopted 2 kids they had been fostering for a few years.  It took time for the mother to terminate her rights to the kids.  They have 3 adult children already; with one at home with her 1 year old daughter.  I finally got to meet the kids this summer and hear more of the story.  It hasn't all been easy; but those kids are thriving.  And my Aunt and Uncle seem to enjoy having younger kids around again.

That is big news and I will be sending bucket loads of positive vibes for you all that everything happens as you plan early in the new year, and that Bunny, Bear and Monkey are all feeling settled and loved in their planning to be forever home.   It sounds like a lovely big family and one kitty per kid is pretty purrfect.

That is awesome! I foster children as well. Right now I have a 12 year old who I plan on doing guardianship with. It is a challenge but so Rewarding!:lol3:
