Hello All!

I'm Jack, and we have 2 11 week old kittens named Dexter and Delilah, I've attached some pictures for you to meet them!

They're the most playful things, we live in a large apartment and plan to have them as house cats. They have plenty of space to run around and always get plenty of love and good quality play time!

All was well until one morning recently. Dexter wasnt being himself one morning. He had an appetite but wouldn't eat. we took him to the vets twice As we weren't satisfied the first time round. They decided to keep him overnight; he had a white tongue with a sore looking, red end, and was showing strange behaviour.

When he returned to us, he was a completely different cat! He was so happy to see us and won't stop playing and has a great appetite. However, the vet advised us to keep them seperate. we are finding this extremely difficult, as they did everything together until now. The poorly Dexter lives in the bedroom and Delilah lives in the living room/kitchen. They both love attention but cannot play together any more. They cry at the door when left alone because they are used to eachotjhers company. We are taking all the necessary precautions (washed EVERYTHing), wash hands constantly and do not allow them to see Eachother. It is heartbreaking to see them cry! I am starting to think this is causing them alot of stress, and Delilah is still showing no symptoms, when inevitably, I feel she would have caught it by now.

Do you guys have any experience of seperating best friend kittens? He is due at the vets tomorrow, and I'm expecting he has calicivirus but is well now. Hopefully they will be able to see Eachother soon :(

Do you have any advice for now?

Thanks and hello to you all :) (sorry for the long post!)

Sorry, I really don't have any experience at this, but am just wondering WHY they needed to be apart at this point, when they've already spent so much time together
.  I guess it's a moot point since you'll be seeing the Vet soon.  In the meantime the only remedy for their being separated is plenty of human companionship, I'm thinking.   Just play with them until they get tuckered out, then when they wake up, do it over again.  Thankfully, kittens do require plenty of sleep.

that Dexter is AOK and that Delilah doesn't catch whatever it was.
