I was thinking the other night about some of the gourmet meals I'd eaten on a cruise ship.  Most of them were delicious, but I would rather have a Manwich anytime.  I love them so much I could be a spokesperson for the Manwich company.
What about you?  Are there any simple, inexpensive meals that you would rather have over a fancy dinner?

I loooooove stir fried beef with flat rice noodles. Hands down. HNNNGGGHHH so good. It's very cheap and in theory, easy to make too, but I'm not good at cooking things quickly at high heat. Cantonese dim sum does it really well, and my mom makes it like a pro. Even getting it as takeout, it's still under $5.

I'm also a big fan of mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. Mash some sweet potato in there with some butter and I'm sold.

I've seen manwich stuff around for a long time, but I never never taken the leap to actually buy it and try it. I think the fact that it's in a can is what puts me off.

Chuck roast cooked until it's falling apart, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn and yeast dinner rolls.  Not very healthy but I think that's the case with most of the favorite comfort food.

Tough one!

Favourite healthy?  Roast chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy (sometime), and a veggie that mixes up well with the potatoes (peas, corn or a mix of those and carrots).

Favourite non-healthy?  Hard tacos.  I don't find them very filling. I can eat 6 for a meal and then a few hours later want something else.
