Needing some advice please

Hello, ON July 18th I adopted two cats from the shelter.they were 7weeks. A girl and a boy from the same litter. Now that its around the time for them to get fixed.I called the vet and was able to schedule a appointment for Nov 4th. That seems to be a long time from now haha. So my question is, what measures should I take to make sure there aren't any accidental kittens before the 4th? Do male and female cats from the same litter even reproduce?

Or do I have little to worry about? I know they are of age or close to age now. But right now they aren't showing any signs of maturing. They still play wrestle and act like normal kittens. Sorry if thus seems jumbled. I'm on my phone.

They don't care that they're sister and brother.  It's female and it's male.  And even if your female goes into heat and gest bred the problem will be taken care of when she's spayed.

That sucks. Really hope she doesn't have to go through that. So from now till Nov 4th. It wouldn't matter cause the spaying can still happen?

It doesn't matter.  She can still be spayed.  I do rather doubt that this late in the season that she will go in heat.  But just keep in mind that this is the best thing you can do for them and for yourself.

Thank you, that is good news that it's so late in the season. Yeah, it's scheduled for the 4th of Nov. God Willing and all they will be there for that appointment ;]
