Hello! I am new to this (or any) site so please forgive my ignorance as I don't even know how to "post" I ended up here so I'll give it a shot. I have a five week(ish) old litter of Persian kittens ( I've had many as my cats & kittens are therapy animals for my autistic 12 year old son ). In this litter I have a tortie tiny girl who's nose is a bit off center & I've had a difficult time getting her to find & eat her food & given her nose I was wondering if the two could be related. I have to spoon her food & put it to her mouth & when she finally realizes it's food she Devours it & I slowly lower spoon down to plate & she then eats fine. Every feeding has to begin the same way- it's almost as if she "forgets" how to eat after every feeding- like when mommy Weens them & their introduction to eating solids as opposed to suckling! I just considered the idea that perhaps she has diminished olfaction(?). I've tried many wet foods, many feeding dishes, even KMR kitten formula to entice her- she eats anything- only after the "re-introduction". She hasn't been to vet yet, she has appointment on Monday but until then does anyone have any thoughts?
