I wish you only the very best, and will pray for a happy outcome for your baby. You are doing all you can, and need to know that any surgery at any age can be risky. My 13 year old went through an extensive surgery to repair an abscess (almost a foot long incision from the shoulder down to his paw) so I know what you are going through. He did fine, and your precious cat will too, think positive, they are a lot stronger then we think. What does your vet think, I don't think they would even suggest it if they thought your baby wouldn't make it. Bless you for loving so much!

Is her general health otherwise OK?  If so, then I think her odds of doing well in the surgery go up.  And, since the surgery isn't near a major organ, I think that is positive too.

Best wishes!

She is ok a bit frail but what do you expect for an 18 year old but she loves her food and loads of loving . She has to have antibiotics for 5 days as she has got an infection ( bless her ) so on wendnesday I'll be booking her in xx thank you for putting my mind at ease xxx

A tumor on the side of the face should be a straight forward, fairly easy operation. Even if a muscle is involved it is still better to have the face a little deformed then for it to spread or rupture. It's better then in the mouth, too, she will still be able to eat and drink. Have it done as soon as you can, the NOT knowing is the hardest on you. Once again, GOOD LUCK and best wishes!
