I don't want to get into the details of how as it's not really relevant but I think Luna may be pregnant. A few days ago her appetite severely decreased and she was really quiet and not herself. She's since perked back up and her appetite is now better than ever! I think she's starting to look a bit round though. She's never liked her belly being looked at so its impossible to check her nipples. From the photos, what do you think? Obviously if she is pregnant, I will have her looked over by a vet. She just doesn't enjoy being handled so I don't want to unnecessary stress her out.

Will say this. If she isn't spayed, is 5+ months of age and she got outside for any length of time or has contact with an intact male you just need to assume she IS pregnant.

I can't say that she *looks* pregnant in the pics you have posted; but, if the event took place recently (within 2 weeks or so) I wouldn't expect her to.

Your best vet is to take her to the vet. If she is pregnant, you will need to decided whether to spay/abort or to allow her to have the kittens. If you choose the latter, make sure you are financially able to take on the cost of kitten care for at least the first 10-12 weeks and that you can afford an emergency vet visit/c-section should Luna have difficulties.

she doesn't look pregnant. suzpect something when you start seeing a bulge from her stomach that is discontinuous or not uniform in appearance from the rest of her belly...

did she also vomit at some point?

btw, your cat looks reminds me of mine.  ^__^

She doesn't look pregnant, but a slightly bloated stomach and sudden changes to her appetite might mean she has worms. If she has outdoor access, or contact with another cat who does, it's possible she picked a few up.

Your vet can test for this and check to see if she really is pregnant at the same time.

She hasn't vomited at all. Maybe she's just starting to fill out a bit more!

She is also wormed regularly so she shouldn't have worms. If it happens again I will definitely get a vet to look her over.

Thanks guys :)

She looks like she's quite young. Compared to my older lady cats she still has an enviable waistline.

That said, a spaying is advisable, dont wait to next occasion.     :)         If  unspayed, she will almost surely sooner or later sneak out when in heat and feeling a tom nearby. Even if you arent planning any mating.   That is so they so often "happen" to sneak out.   its no sheer unluck, its the law of biology, hormones and a good nose of cats.

She doesn't look pregant to me. But, cats don't really show it until the last couple of weeks (for my cat, she started to show in the final 4 weeks, and grew rapidly). The best way is, indeed, to check the nipples. Are they bright pink? Then you have a pregnant cat. It should look a lot different than usual.

Less eating and suddenly eating a lot could also mean something different. If you feel that she changed her regular behaviour I would go to the vet to get her checked out anyway. Cats don't change their ways often, so it could mean something else. I rather go to the vet too often than not often enough ;) You could also just give them a call, tell them what you noticed, and then let them decide whether you should come by or wait a while longer while observing her. They know best!
