We recently moved to a new house and have been here for about 3 months now. I just have to brag on how well my two cats (Pancake and Waffles) adjusted to the new environment. They are outdoor cats, one is 3 years old and the other is 1 year old. They are the best of friends and get along so well. While I was planning for the move, I was planning on putting them in seperate cat carriers to transport them. Then I was thinking, Pancake, my oldest cat, hates cat carriers and usually gripes the whole way. I had too much stuff in the cab of my truck to let her be loose in there. So since they get along so well I decided to put them both in the larger dog carrier. That worked soooo much better than having them seperate. They were both silent for the whole trip, and I think being together comforted them. When we arrived at the new house, I left them in the carrier with food & water while we unloaded everything. When we finished, I released them into the garage. I left them shut in the garage for a few days, and then started letting them outside only when we were home to watch them. After a few days I was able to leave them outside all day while we were at work with no problems. I would leave the window cracked in the garage so they could come and go as they pleased. Now they act like nothing has changed, and they love it here. They love to hunt and climb all the trees around our house. I've always heard how difficult it is to move cats, so I was so proud of mine when they made it so easy

Three years ago my family moved from Oregon to Louisiana road trip style. So we had two dogs at the time, and six full grown cats in one dog kennel. We also had three 7 week old kittens. Though the adult cats were not happy, they settled in nicely. We still have three of the six, two died of old age and the other was killed. It was hard for them to get away from each other in that kennel.

Scratch that, only 5 were in the kennel, my moms old man cat(RIP) road in the car on my little sisters lap. That was definitely an interesting trip.
