Has anybody else tried this canned cat food, I've been searching for a grain-free option and it looks like I've found it, I already have the cans, however I'd really like to know everybody's experiences with this before I feed my two furbabies.

Before I switched to raw, I fed this to Ritz. She loved it.
Note that they are a little low in fat and the gravy styles include tapioca starch which of course is a carbohydrate, though not a grain.

I tried Avoderm once. It was a shredded chicken in gravy one. The food was bright pink in a thick gloppy gravy/sauce and the food smelled awful. My cat at the time refused to eat it. I didn't buy the brand again.

There are lots of grain-free brands in the stores now. The store you bought the Avoderm from likely has several other brands. Although I feed raw, I keep some Nature's Variety Instinct and Weruva on hand just in case.

I fed Avoderm sparingly. Mostly because the carb level is high and there were better options for the same price available. No problems with kitty acceptance.

Does anyone know if there is any corn flour or what not in this brand? I've tried some grain free brands before, but all they do is replace the wheat based stuff by corn based ingredients, which is not all that much better...

Check the ingredients on the brand web site: http://www.avodermnatural.com/Cat_Foods/ It doesn't look like the canned foods have any corn flour. There is tapioca starch in the gravy foods. The starch is used to thicken the gravy.

Have you tried Nature's Variety Instinct? There aren't any flours in the food.

Where are you shopping for your food? A lot of time the higher end/better value foods are in boutique pet shops, grooming parlors, feed and tack stores, or, depending on the type of shelter, the adoption shelter.
