We have successfully weaned her down to 15 mgs prednisone.
Ali has an auto immune disease with pemphigus.
When we first started this journey our vet said she does not like to keep any animal on prednisone for a long time, but now she says she thinks Ali will need to be on it for life to keep the pemphigus under control.
Ali had a check up last Monday and her gums looked like gingivitis was beginning, so before we try to lower the dosage, Vet wants to check her again tomorrow and decide what our next plan of action is.
