I still can't get Trinity to eat canned. Recently I have bought different brands textures and meats and she walks away from all of them. I bought the pouch with mostly gravy and some seafood in it can't remember brand but it is in the white and blue pouch and all 3 cats walked away from that food.
Did you try the Fancy Feast Kitten Turkey Feast ?  My cats are very picky and love that one ..

My cats are eating  Pate  !!!!!! ..   So far they have eaten the Fancy Feast Classic Chicken Feast  &  FF Classic Seafood Feast .  I got lots of other flavors for them so I can rotate .

I do not want them to get stuck on any particular flavor ..

Wish me luck  , I hope they stay with it ..

Seri gets Classic (pate) style non-fish Fancy Feast only due to additives in the other formulas.  Her favorite flavor at the moment is Tender Beef & Chicken Feast.  She doesn't care much for the Turkey & Giblets.

To avoid carbohydrates our three only get FF Classic (pate) Turkey and Giblets, and Tender Beef Feast. Very infrequently I would add FF Classic whitefish but I have stopped. They eat it enthusiastically, day in, day out. Half a can each at four meals = 2 cans each / day. I can find FF at Wal-Mart for 50 to 54 cents / can.
Do yours eat dry too or just 2 cans each of FF?

They will only eat pates. Cochise's favourite is Cod, Sole, Shrimp (which contains the 2nd highest phosphorus content according to the charts - not good for any cat never mind a kidney cat). Any fish FF is used only to hide meds, and then very small amounts. Beef pate and Chicken & Liver pate is going over well at the moment, but never the straight Chicken. Turkey & Giblets, not so much.
Try the chopped grill in the classics, cats seem to like that one also.

@bonepicker, the old lady only gets 2 cans FF Classic / day divided into 4 servings. At each serving she also gets a cube of Purebites freeze dried chicken, crumbled into shreds.

The two boys get 2 cans FF Classic / day divided into 4 servings. At each serving they also get a pinch of Purina Naturals. I counted out a few times, and a pinch = 16 to 20 pieces of kibble. I think it adds up to about a Tablespoon / day. They think it is a treat.

Where are pure bites sold? What kind of package do they come in? Do you add water to pure bites?

@bonepicker,

PureBites are sold at PetValu or PetSmart. There are several options - liver is another one - but I only get the freeze dried chicken breast. There are two sizes of the foil packages - a smaller size package for cats, a larger size package for dogs. I buy the larger package so I don't have to go buy another one as often.

I take one cube, crumble it between my fingers, and mix it with her wet food. Think of it as a topper, or a treat, and not as food.

I just want to be sure that as an old cat she continues to eat well and keeps her weight up.

So it is sold in treat isle by the temptations etc. not a frozen thing

Freeze dried treats like PureBites are found in the regular treat aisle. They are dry shelf stable treats, not a frozen prduct.

I feed FF pate (most flavors except rare fish),  Sheba pate once in a while, and Friskies pate all chicken flavors.   She doesn't  seem to have a preference of one over the other.     I have been feeding this since I got her at almost 3 months of age.

I think it is day 3 now and Trinity is eating can food no kibble. Today at Pet Smart I bought several other better brands that I saw suggested here that I will try with Trinity eventually but right now I don't want to push my luck. She is eating the FF kitten Turkey and the FF classic Turkey and giblets so far. It doesn't seem like she is eating enough. I did give her a little kibble yesterday but she just took a few bites. My other two kitties will get to enjoy a rotation of foods.

Trinity weighs 9 lbs. Since she has only been eating a little of the can food at a time I have been putting her food back down at night before bed ( third feeding). Problem is I'll hear the dog in there licking the kitties' bowls clean during the night! She ate the most wet yesterday. I would say she  ate just shy of a 3 oz can. For the few days before I offered her a little kibble too and she ate about 2 Tbls. of kibble (total) along with the wet. Treats are not an every day thing but last night before bed she was very eager to eat treats. What is it about treats that are so enjoyable for them? I usually buy higher end  treats from Pet Smart but I bought a bag of the friskies party mix and all 3 LOVED them.

Like kids and candy, same thing. You will have to elavator their food onto a table so dogs do not get

good idea about elevating her food. My son has a cat and a dog and he put a baby gate on a door in a hallway and put it high enough that the cat can crawl under it, but the dog cannot.. so he puts all the kitty's food on the other side. Maybe a laundry room or something like that would be good to do it to?
