Both of mine gobbled all of the classic pate' except for turkey and giblets...sometimes they'd eat it..sometimes not...almost like we'd get a bad batch once and awhile..so strange NEITHER of them liked it.

Oh how I wish my cats would eat Pate of any brand . They liked the Iams Pate for a few days , now they refuse to eat it .. My cats are so fickle

Well mine do not care for pate but they do not like big chunks either . I think that is why they like the grilled Fancy Feast .. It is finely shredded pieces ..

To avoid carbohydrates our three only get FF Classic (pate) Turkey and Giblets, and Tender Beef Feast. Very infrequently I would add FF Classic whitefish but I have stopped. They eat it enthusiastically, day in, day out. Half a can each at four meals = 2 cans each / day. I can find FF at Wal-Mart for 50 to 54 cents / can.

Mine like liver and chicken or chopped grill both are classic style and no fish oddly enough. They hate fish!

They will only eat pates. Cochise's favourite is Cod, Sole, Shrimp (which contains the 2nd highest phosphorus content according to the charts - not good for any cat never mind a kidney cat). Any fish FF is used only to hide meds, and then very small amounts. Beef pate and Chicken & Liver pate is going over well at the moment, but never the straight Chicken. Turkey & Giblets, not so much.

I was occasionally feeding the beef classic until I read the ingredients and noticed fish was one of the ingredients.  Fish in a can I thought was beef?   Nah, that annoyed me so I stopped feeding.

I'm one of the lucky ones.  My 6 month old furbaby will eat anything.

Pates, chunks, shredded, etc.  Chicken, turkey, duck, rabbit, beef, salmon my 6 month old will eat it with no fuss.  I'm lucky that I can feed him a variety and I do.   The only thing he's ever turned away from was Hounds and Gatos.

My cats have always disliked Pate but I got a couple cans of the FF Chicken Feast Classic  & the FF Seafood Feast Classic and they really like it ..

I sure will not buy a lot ahead of time though in case they change their mind ..

I swear they put some secret ingredient in Fancy Feast that kitties can't resist.  I took one of my kitties in to the vets a couple of years ago because she seemed a little off and wasn't eating.  The vet tried some Fancy Feast and she ate it like she hadn't eaten for a week.  She sure made a liar out of me.

I think you are right ..  I have tried at least 20 brands of different flavors and textures and my cats turn their nose up at all of it ..  They never refuse Fancy Feast ..

I guess the most important thing is they are getting a wet diet ..

I still can't get Trinity to eat canned. Recently I have bought different brands textures and meats and she walks away from all of them. I bought the pouch with mostly gravy and some seafood in it can't remember brand but it is in the white and blue pouch and all 3 cats walked away from that food.

When they were eating it, they liked the chicken, beef and turkey & giblets from the classics line. I didn't give them the fish varieties. Now if they eat FF (rarely), it's the turkey from the line for kittens. I bought some out of desperation when they went on their mini hunger strike and they did eat it while I was figuring out a rotation. I keep some on hand for an emergency.
