I posted a pic a few days ago of a lump starting to form under Molly's chin, it wasn't getting any better and she actually ruptured it on Sunday night. We thought it would start to heal then, but alas it was not healing and she was not drinking or eating. Took her to the vet today, her incisions are both infected from the surgery and that is what was causing lump, which was an  abscess. poor girl :( She had to have the abscess flushed and has been given a course of antibiotics and pain meds....plus a cone as she keeps digging at her wound. HOPEFULLY this will clear up in a week with the meds and lots of TLC of course. Not sure what caused the infection in the first place though.....can't really seem to find an obvious answer?

I am sorry but I am sure with meds and TLC she will heal.  Has she started eating with the meds?  I think this is something that can happen with oral surgery and can't always be prevented.  You think about the inside of an animal's mouth including ours there are a lot of germs and there's an open wound it's going to happen sometimes.  I am really surprised it doesn't happen more often then it does.

Thank Denice! We are keeping our fingers crossed that she will be fully recovered in a week!
