She has been weaned down to 15 mgs prednisone from 25 mgs and today when our vet checked her she is in the beginning stages of gingivitis which may be related to lowering her dosage of prednisone.

Our Vet will check her again Friday.

When we first started this journey with her, our vet was against any animal being on prednisone long term and she now says Ali will be on it long term.

I am relieved that there is something she can take that will work to keep her alive and feeling good.

AT lest she can get a dental to help with the gingivitis, right?

What is the final goal with the Pred?  (what mg  are you looking t giving her on a daily basis when all is said and done?)  Is that still to be decided just depending on how well she keeps everything under control?

Yes she can get dental help from our vet.

The amt. pf prednisone has not yet been decided and we want to see how far we can wean her off, depending on how she does.
