Anyone know what the big differance it is with senior dry food and regular dry foot up to 7 years old?? Just curious if I should worry about switching??? She wont eat wet food btw lol.
I think life stages foods are largely a gimmick. It's the same with indoor foods - all you have to do is look at the guaranteed analysis for the major differences. A lot of senior foods I've seen have been geared towards "weight control" or "maintenance", so they end up being lower in fat because there's the assumption an aging cat will be lazy and less playful. Our ten year old is quite skinny and requires more protein and more fat, and he still maintains his playful attitude and activities.
If your cat is on a good food now, her weight and habits are consistent, then I see no reason to switch. Seven isn't even really old for a cat.
