Have you tried feeding canned?  Cats really shouldn't eat dry anyways and often the carb/grain content of kibble doesn't always agree with our little obligate carnivores.  A diet change might solve the issue.  If you want to feed fresh food, raw or homecooked you need to do your research first, feeding an unbalanced diet is not safe or healthy either.  You can give him little bits of the chicken, but skip the grains and veggies, cats have no way to digest or use plant proteins and shouldn't be fed them.

You need to know how much you are feeding him each day. Check out the calories. Just because you are in the kitchen does not mean he is hungry. My cats think they are being fed becaue i am in the kicthen. Don't give in. They get in a pattern and think its the norm. Feed them the right amount of calories per day. On a schedule.
